OVER 50 people turned up to play in the first of 10 Tartan Touch rugby sessions hosted by Ardrossan Accies.
Players were taken through a warm-up training session before being put into teams mixed with experienced and beginner players.
Andrew Duncan, Ardrossan Accies Development Officer, said: “We are delighted with the number of people who turned up to take part last week.
“Rugby is a great sport and Tartan Touch, the non-contact version with eight simple rules, makes the game more accessible to a wider range of people and ages. We hope to see even more this Friday night!”
Tartan Touch runs every Friday night from 6.30m–8pm until July 7. It is £3 to play or a summer pass can be bought for £20. Under 16’s play free with a signed up parent or carer.
