THE jury in the trial of the man accused of murdering Mr Scotland body building champion Michael O'Hanlon were sent home for the night today (Monday).

They will resume their deliberations tomorrow (Tues) at the High Court in Glasgow.

Steven Kirkwood, 44, denies murdering 45-year-old Mr O'Hanlon by repeatedly stabbing him at HK Autotek, Stevenston on July 25, last year.

He has lodged a special defence of self defence.

Mr O'Hanlon was stabbed four times and died from massive blood loss.

At the High Court in Glasgow judge Lady Rae told the jury of 10 women and five men to take as long as they need to come to a verdict.
