LOCAL theatre company Capall Dorcha commenced this year’s summer workshop school tour attending Auchenharive Secondary in Saltcoats delivering a workshop to pupils in S2. Executive producer Barry Robertson said ‘We are excited to be back on tour, providing free drama workshops throughout North Ayrshire and Arran and will continue our tour attending thirteen schools across North Ayrshire. This is the first time that we are visiting primary schools and like in previous years have opened our free week-long summer Physical Theatre workshop in Ardrossan starting on the 7th of August for anyone in the area wishing to join us for the week-long programme.
Since the organisation began in 2015, a total of 770 young people have participated in Capall Dorcha Ensemble drama workshops, and this year we will reach our biggest milestone yet of having over 1000 young people taking part since we started Capall Dorcha.
This workshop is open to all young people living in North Ayrshire in P5 upwards, and anyone wishing to join us can sign up for free by visiting our website capalldorcha.com/ensemble.’
