KILWINNING Whippet Racing Club achieved huge success over the last few weeks with its members travelling to and competing in major English competitions.

The success started with Keeran Macatee and Chase aka Blue Flyer winning his second yearling national champion title and supreme yearling at the English Derby at Fordingbridge.

It continued with the father and daughter team of Lisa and Sandy Richardson with Barney aka Thin White Duke winning his second adult national champion title, winning over all supreme Lord Byron plate and Supreme dog in the Maltby Open and has been in England being trained by good friends of the club Steve and Wendy Potts.

Next up, father and son team Jim and Jamie Leitch with Cindy aka Silver Sands adding another National champion status, veteran at Shirebrook.

Another father and son team in Kenny and Mason Salmon with Marley won supreme at an Open in Wallsend.

Colin Matheson and Max aka Cheeky Charlie won a timed trial at Wallsend, Colin, Tracy and Kai McLaughlan with Dexter aka Darlo fury came third in his weight group in the Stockton Open Race event and Mandy and Derek Thompson with blue hes mias boy coming third in the NPWRA Championships.

The young club are going from strength to strength and train at the track next to the Dirrans Centre in Kilwinning.
