A LOCAL church organisation is holding its first in a series of charity events in its aim to reach out to the community.
Adelaide College in Saltcoats is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, July 22 for Marie Curie.
Rachael Orme, member of staff at Adelaide College, said: “We have had people who have worked for us in the past who have had cancer, so that is why we’re raising money for Marie Curie this time.
“This is the first of many charities we’re raising for. We hope to hold more fundraisers throughout the year. We really want to open up to the wider community.”
Saturday’s event takes place from 11am-4pm at Adelaide College in Nineyard Street.
The day will include a bouncy castle and slide, tea and coffee, homemade cakes, filled rolls, second hand book sale, massages, and more.
