Bail refused for shoplifter
A MAN has been remanded in custody after admitting to shoplifting in Saltcoats while on bail.
Martin William McGettigan, 40, of no fixed abode, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and pled guilty to one charge of Theft by Shoplifting.
On March 11, McGettigan stole a quantity of alcohol at Aldi on The Braes.
Nine days before the offence, McGettigan had received bail in relation to another matter.
The case was adjourned until August. McGettigan was remanded in custody, bail having been refused.
