A MAN was found hiding on the deck of an iconic steamship while it was docked in Glasgow.
Mark Hulley was spotted by a security guard hanging around the Pacific Quay where the Queen Mary ship was moored on August 14 this year.
After seeing him enter the ship, the guard called police who attended the scene and found Hulley, of Drumoyne Road, hiding on the deck.
The 29-year-old was not cautioned and charged at the time but later appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with being on the ship without lawful consent and the intention to commit theft.
The court heard how there was a large amount of scrap metal on the ship which Hulley had intended to steal and sell.
Sheriff Barry Divers ordered Hully to undergo a structured deferred sentence in the drug court.
