THE first Saturday in October promises to be a belter - with a Curry ‘n’ Karaoke night being held in Saltcoats.

Organised by local man Andy Payton, the ‘Ayrshire oh spice curry ‘n’ karaoke fundraiser’ will try to raise as much funding as possible for the Ayrshire Hospice.

Andy, who completed the West Highland Way last year for the Beatson, is hoping it will be a sell-out.

Tickets are priced at £10 and this will include supper at 8.30pm. Taking place on October 7, the evening will be held at St Mary’s Church Hall and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

There will be a range of great raffle prizes at £5 a strip, including the top prize of a week’s accommodation for an apartment in Spain, play your cards right and much more on the night.

And the maximum amount of money possible will be going to the Hospice after Saltcoats business the Punjab Grill kindly offered to provide the food absolutely free of charge.
