Officers in North Ayrshire were at the new Garnock Community Campus on Tuesday (26th September 2017) speaking with school pupils about career opportunities in policing during the ‘Positive Destinations’ careers event.
Sergeant Harkin and Constables Duffy and Johnson attended the event alongside a number of colleges, universities and employers in both the public and private sectors.
The event was well attended by pupils from S4, S5 and S6 and their parents/carers.
Speaking after the event PC Johnson said: “This was an excellent opportunity to promote Police Scotland as an exciting and varied career choice. Policing offers tremendous prospects for both personal and professional development, whilst allowing you to make a real difference in communities.
“It was good to speak with so many enthusiastic pupils about their future plans, and hopefully we may be welcoming some into our ranks in future.”
