A STEVENSTON petrol station is celebrating this week after being awarded the title of Best Forecourt in the country.

JET’s Ardeer Service Station has great reason to celebrate having just scooped the award for the best performing forecourt in Scotland at the petrol retailing industry’s national awards.

The forecourt was also shortlisted as a national finalist in the ‘Best Forecourt Innovation’ category at the awards.

The JET forecourt, which is owned by Mahmood Saleem, was awarded the best forecourt in Scotland in its size category at the Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards 2017.

The 1920s-themed awards event took place on September 14 at the London Hilton on Park Lane and was hosted by presenter and classical musician, Myleene Klass.

The judging panel was very impressed by Saleem’s £1.5 million investment which has transformed the site from a cramped 750sq feet shop into one of UK’s most forward-thinking forecourt convenience stores.

Judges also praised the team at Ardeer for their industry-leading customer service and commitment to energy-efficient measures.

Saleem comments: “Our staff take great pride in the site and in ensuring our customers’ needs are always met, so it’s fantastic to have all their hard work and effort recognised at a national level. We’d also like to thank our loyal customers.”
