FOOTBALL fans have a brand new way to enjoy the beautiful game thanks to Kilwinning Sports Club.
The club launched their first Walking Football session this week and, despite the wet weather, had a great turn out.
Walking Football is aimed at people who are no longer fit or able enough to run but still enjoy a kick about.
The inaugural session took place on Wednesday, October 4 and saw football fans brave the bad weather to improve their fitness, meet other folk and generally have fun.
Newcomer to the area, Eddie Phillips said: “Thanks to Colin Hunter and others from Kilwinning Sports Club the first Walking Football here got going.
"I went home wet but thoroughly satisfied and looking forward to the next week. Whilst we only had a few it is clear that lots of others will want to get involved.”
Walking Football takes place 11am every Wednesday at Kilwinning Sports Club. For more details, call Colin Hunter at the club.
