POLICE in North Ayrshire are seeking the assistance of the public and the media in trying to locate a 14-year-old boy missing from Ardrossan

Shaun Dickson was last seen at his home in Burns Terrace, Ardrossan around 10am on Wednesday, October 11, when he failed to return home later that night, he was reported missing to police.

Shaun is around 6 ft. tall, with a slim build and fair hair.  He has a fair complexion, is clean shaven and has blue eyes. He was wearing a black shirt, black hooded top with blue and orange on it, black skinny jeans and black trainers.

Extensive enquiries are underway to locate Shaun, however all attempts to trace him have so far proved unsuccessful.

Shaun has gone off on his own before but he usually gets back in touch with his family after a short period of time, however, given his age and the inclement weather concern for Shaun is growing.

There have been some reports of Shaun in Irvine Town Centre but those reports are unconfirmed.  Shaun is also known to visit friends in the Kilwinning and West Kilbride areas.

Sergeant David Dougan said:

“We are in the process of checking for relevant CCTV footage which could provide us with additional information as to Shaun’s whereabouts. We have also liaised with our BTP colleagues and continue to link in with family and friends in an effort to find Shaun.”

If anyone has seen Shaun or has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts, then please contact officers at Saltcoats Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 3735 of 11 October 2017.
