A YOUNG man has admitted threatening a woman at her home and possessing an offensive weapon – namely a bow and arrows.
At Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week, Jason Brown, of Kilbirnie’s Camphill Avenue, admitted two charges which took place on August 20.
He also pleaded guilty to an additional charge of breaching bail conditions by communicating with the woman indirectly the next day.
Brown, 21, admitted to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at a woman’s house in Largs.
He shouted, swore, uttered threats of violence towards the woman, pursued her in a motor vehicle, behaved aggressively towards her, threw items of furniture, electrical items and crockery around the house, and struck a wall with a knife causing damage to it.
While Brown was at the woman’s home, the court heard how he at one point threatened to ‘break the dog’s legs’.
Brown admitted being in possession of an offensive weapon in a public place without reasonable excuse or lawful authority, namely a bow and arrow.
He also admitted breaching his bail conditions by sending a quantity of text messages to an individual which contained requests that she pass information to the complainer.
Bail was refused from Sheriff Foran.
The case was adjourned for Criminal Justice Social Work Reports and he will return to the court at a later date.
