A MAN was found dead in a property in Stevenston yesterday afternoon, police have confirmed.
Shortly before 5pm, police were called to Garven Road in the town after reports of a body of a man being within a property there.
A 43-year-old man was confirmed to have died and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal but it is not thought to be suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 4.50pm on Wednesday, October 18, police received a call to a report of a body of a man in a property in Garven Road, Stevenston.
"A 43-year-old male was confirmed to have died. The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
