SOME 29 members of staff from Ardrossan’s BPO Collections climbed Goatfell in the pouring rain recently in memory of their dear friend and colleague Lesley Loader.

Lesley sadly passed away in April of this year and was superbly looked after during her battle with cancer by all the staff at the Ayrshire Hospice.

Her friends have raised a huge £1,850 with the climb for this wonderful cause.

A spokesperson for the group said: “As you know the Ayrshire Hospice relies on charity donations to continue with the day to day running, we cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity and support.

“We would like to thank our managing director, Graham Rankin for covering the cost of our travel to Arran and donating £100, allowing us to wear Ayrshire Hospice t-shirts for the event.

“A huge thank you to Scott Hood for organising the event, and co-ordinating everyone from turning up, to collecting in sponsor money.

“And lastly a huge thank you to everyone who took part. Lesley was very dear to all of us and is sadly missed each and every day in the office.”
