THREE people were treated for minor injuries following a four-car smash on the A78 between Stevenston and Irvine last night.
And a driver reported for careless driving following the incident.
The crash, which left tailbacks and caused delays for a number of hours, occured around 6.35pm between the Pennyburn Roundabout and Eglinton Interchange.
A police spokesman said: "At 6.35pm on Tuesday, Novmber 7, there was a four-vehicle collision on the A78 between the Pennyburn Roundabout and Eglinton Interchange.
"Three people were treated for minor injuries and one person reported for careless driving."
