PUPILS from North Ayrshire schools took part in the Children and Need choir - which raised an incredible £50 million for the charity.

They joined more than 1,500 others to sing as part of the BBC Children in Need Appeal on Friday, November 17.

During the night, the youngsters sang a beautiful jazz rendition of Over the Rainbow across 10 different locations around the UK.

One of the locations is BBC Scotland Pacific Quay in Glasgow, where choir master Andrew Paton led 123 pupils aged between eight and 15 years old and from 13 schools across Ayrshire in song.

People from across the UK raised a phenomenal £50,168,562 for BBC Children in Need, its highest on the night total to date.
