NEW Freedom of Information figures reveal that the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has received thousands of complaints relating to the WASPI (Women against state pension inequality) campaign, yet only six “WASPI investigations” have actually been seen through to completion.
This week’s UK budget saw the plight of 3.5 million WASPI women born in the 1950s ignored once again, 4800 of whom live in North Ayrshire & Arran constituency.
Patricia Gibson MP said: “With thousands of complaints flooding into the DWP from women who have been robbed of their state pension, it is astonishing that only six have been given the courtesy of a response.
“This strikes at the heart of the sheer incompetence of this Tory government. Their dedicated complaints service is a complete sham and it isn’t delivering for WASPI women, who deserve justice and fairness.”
