THE people of Kilwinning have officially launched the 2017 Christmas season.
Despite rain and sleet, a huge crowd arrived in the Main Street for another successful Switch On of the Kilwinning Christmas lights.
Scout leader Alister Kerr said he was honoured to be selected to switch on the Lights.
The Segdoune Queen Alix Martin and her Royal party and Santa joined Alister on stage to assist in the count down.
Crowds were entertained by Kilwinning’s young talent: Josh Gorst and Deski-Leigh, the Cranberry Moss Junior and Senior Choirs, Dance Depot and the November Lights Band.
