NORTH Ayrshire Council’s Depute Provost has risen to the challenge after he was asked to try and find five people to raise £100 for a local charity.
When he was contacted by Lynne Bennett, Charity Manager Cash for Kids Ayrshire, Councillor Robert Barr and his wife Janette decided not to send Christmas cards but instead get the ball rolling and donate the first £100.
They managed to find four other couples to do the same and matched the target of £500.
