A SERIES of events promoting a one-stop-shop for employment are coming to Stevenston, Irvine and Kilbirnie.

The first Employability Hub Open Day will take place in Stevenston Employability Hub this Thursday, January 25 between 9.30am and 1.30pm.

On the day, local residents can go along and meet with a range of partners all ready and willing to support unemployed residents into work.

North Ayrshire Council is joining forces with the Job Centre Plus, Ayrshire College, Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, Skills Development Scotland, the Department for Work and Pensions and third sector providers to host these special employability events.

If you know anyone who could do with some help securing employment or wants to discuss any barriers they have preventing them getting a job, make sure they head along to the Open Day.

The second open day, in Fullarton, Irvine will take place on Wednesday, January 31 and the third one at Kilbirnie Employability Hub on Tuesday 6 February 2018.

Councillor Alex Gallagher, Cabinet Member for Economy, said: “The aim of the Open Days is to promote the hubs, the services that are delivered and the partners who provide these services.

“Whether you’re looking for a job or advice on training, or want to discuss issues that can get in the way of securing employment – such as financial concerns or housing issues I would encourage local people to attend the hubs on a regular basis to benefit from the advice and support on offer.”

The Open Days take place ahead of the official opening of Kilwinning Employability Hub on Thursday, February1.
