A man who sent drones over a woman’s property is to be sentenced next month.
Stuart William Shedden engaged in a course of conduct which caused a woman fear and alarm over a period of almost nine months.
Shedden, 43, of Gateside Street in West Kilbride, had previously denied one charge against him at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
But he was found guilty after trial at the court last week. The offence refers to various occasions between June 7 2016 and February 19 2017, both dates inclusive, at a woman’s property in Ardrossan.
Shedden slashed the tyres of two vehicles with an unknown implement and repeatedly flew a drone in the vicinity of and through the airspace over the woman’s property.
On one occasion Shedden made a malicious phone call to the police reporting an ongoing robbery at the woman’s property, and on another occasion at Hamilton Street in Saltcoats, he stared at her and gestured towards her.
Shedden also repeatedly loitered on and near the woman’s property and stared at her.
Sentence was deferred for reports until February 27.
Shedden was bailed and will return to the court on that date.
