AN Ardrossan man will be braving the shave next month as he and a few friends aim to raise £1,000 for charity.
Sal Blades, 29, has set a target of £1,000 for Age UK and the money will be raised by numerous brave souls who will be getting their head shaved or legs waxed.
Taking place at the Men’s Room in Saltcoats on Saturday, March 3, the event will see a whole lot of pain and shame in order to raise as much as possible.
Sal decided to attempt the fundraising on his own for the charity as they help the older generation have a happier life with more comfort and company.
He said: “Too many older people sit for weeks without any company and it can be a brutally lonely life. Our target is £1,000 and we now have recruited a few more volunteers to take part. Please dig deep, if you can, although anything is greatly appreciated.”
