A MAN has admitted to hurting an elderly relative in bed and to assaulting a woman.
Michael Jackson, of Townend Street in Dalry, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and pled guilty to two charges. His plea of not guilty to a third charge was accepted by the prosecutor.
Jackson carried out the offences on August 16 last year at an address in Dalry.
The 36-year-old culpably and recklessly lifted a mattress and tried to turn it whilst a 68-year-old relative was lying in it, as a result of which the man suffered pain.
Jackson also assaulted a woman in that he pushed her on the body.
Sentence was deferred for reports until March 13. Jackson was bailed.
