EGLINTON growers are currently looking for new members, with various plots currently vacant at the moment.

Kilwinning SNP councillor Scott Davidson has steadily been getting around many community groups and organisations in Kilwinning and last week he met with some of the members of the Eglinton Growers where he was delighted to get a tour of the plots and facilities that are found at their Community Allotments and Community Gardens.

Councillor Davidson said: “As an allotment society Eglinton Growers provide a great community activity for folk in Kilwinning and the surrounding area.

“New members are always welcome. There are around 90 plots of various sizes on site and there are some vacant at the moment.

“I would like to thank Eglinton Growers members for taking the time to meet me and provide such a warm welcome.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the premises and the information provided by Eglinton Growers’ member Ian Lakey.

“Anyone interested in becoming a member and having an allotment should get in touch with the Growers by email at contactus@eglintongrowers.co.uk or simply popping in to the allotments near Eglinton Park entrance for more information.”
