AROUND £1,500 worth of prescription drugs were swiped in an early morning raid on a chemists in Saltcoats.
Around 5.15am on Saturday, February 17, thieves struck at Boots the Chemist in the town’s Dockhead Street and got away with a number of prescription drugs.
Police confirmed that drugs with a street value of £1,500, including Diazapam, Gabapentin and Pregabalin, were taken.
Witnesses are being sought by police in the town.
Inspector Colin Convery said: “I ask the public to be mindful that these drugs are now in circulation.
"Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.”
