THE Saltcoats Sea Queen for 2018 has been announced as 11-year-old Afton Ceelen.
The Mayfield Primary pupil was chosen by the selectors yesterday (Tuesday) and she will be ably assisted by Ciaran Thomson, 12, of St Anthony’s Primary.
2018’s Buccaneers are Kristofer Furey, 12, Dykesmains; Callum McGoldrick, 11, Caledonia; Leo Conway, 11, Mayfield and the Ladies-in-waiting are Amy Scott, 11, Dykesmains; Emma McKechan, 11, Caledonia; Skye Martin, 11, St Anthony’s.
Good luck to all of the royal party and the organisers ahead of this year’s festival.
