DALRY show takes place this Saturday, May 19, and as well as keen competition for the classes there will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained.

The event will be held at Lynnholm, Dalry, by kind permission of the Dalgleish family. Judging of horses, sheep and cattle will begin at 10.30am, followed by a grand parade of all the prizewinners, led by the Champion of Champions, at around 1pm.

Produce, baking and handicrafts for the always busy industrial section will be judged in the afternoon. The popular children’s pets section will return with a fun dog show on the showground at 12pm.

Judging begins at 12.30pm, with a trophy for the Pedigree Champion. Throughout the day, there will be loads to enjoy, with a craft fair, plenty of stalls and a vintage tractor display.

This year, after the success of the Farm Animal Experience/ Educational Tent, the committee are expanding the experience.

Last year, The Highland Dancers were unable to compete at the show and were moved to an indoor venue at St Margaret’s Church Hall.

All going well this year the Highland Dancers will remain on the showfield as the dance platform will now be under cover. Admission: adults £3, children free.
