RESIDENTS across North Ayrshire are being urged to help celebrate the achievements of deserving council staff by nominating them for the Customer Excellence Award.

Now in its seventh year, North Ayrshire Achieves is an employee recognition programme which asks residents and customers to nominate a North Ayrshire Council employee they feel deserves to be recognised for their excellent service.

Chief Executive Elma Murray said: “Our staff work so hard every single day to deliver outstanding services to the people of North Ayrshire so we are always extremely grateful when people take the time to nominate an employee who has gone above and beyond the call of duty.

“We’ve had some fantastic winners over the years

but without a nomination, they wouldn’t have got the recognition they so richly deserve.

“Through supporting this worthwhile employee recognition programme, our residents and customers have told us many heartwarming stories of the differences

our staff have made to their lives.

“So if you have received exceptional service over the last year, please nominate them for our Customer Excellence Award.”

North Ayrshire residents and customers can nominate online through www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk/naa or by picking up a nomination form from the Customer Service Centre in Bridgegate House in Irvine, Saltcoats Town Hall, or one of the other local offices, schools or libraries.

However, time is running out – the closing date for nominations is 12 noon on Monday, 2 July.

Last year, dedicated classroom assistant Anne Pettigrew, who works at Ardrossan Academy, picked up the Customer Service Excellence award after being nominated by members of the public.
