North Ayrshire award winning singer songwriter, harp and flute player Pauline Vallance is the headline performer at Franklin’s next entertainment evening at Costa Cafe in Saltcoats on Thursday, July 26 at 6pm.

Franklyn, better known as Frances Grier from Stevenson, has just produced her own album, and is excited at the increasing number of people who are turning up at the events.

She said: “This will be our fourth outing and it’s a great night for everyone in the Three Towns. We just want to pack the place. So, come along.”

Also on stage will be Two Lads fae the Shire, featuring Irvine vocalist Andy McManus and guitar player Thomas Hall.

Pauline Vallance, from Beith, is a knockout performer who is in demand throughout Scotland with her easy-listening soothing voice accompanied by her story-telling and sense of humour.

She said: “My approach is to provide a variety of songs which will be meaningful to different people and also for me and the audience to have fun!”

In 2009, Pauline won the Glasgow Songwright Festival competition with the song ‘This Working Life’.

After that her growing reputation took her to performances in Leith, Nitten, Clydesdale, Houston, Falkirk and Quarter Folk, and In 2012 she performed in her first Edinburgh Fringe Show.

The Saltcoats evening is “open mic,” so there’s an opportunity to do a “wee turn” if you feel inclined.
