Man faces sentencing for holding knife to woman's throat
A young man who held a knife to a woman’s throat is to be sentenced next month.
Ben Kyle, 20, pled guilty to one charge of assault at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
His plea of not guilty to a second charge was accepted by the prosecutor. Kyle assaulted the woman at his home in Glasgow Street, Ardrossan, on June 8.
He punched her on the head, placed a knife at her neck and threatened her with violence.
Sentence was deferred for reports until August 27.
Kyle was bailed and will return to the court on that date.
