NORTH Ayrshire Athletics Club are delighted to announce the launch of an ambitious project for their young coaches.
As part of the National Lottery Year of Young People Project, they are offering a Young Coach Apprentice Leadership Scheme.
This has been made possible by a grant of £5000 from the National Lottery. NAAC are blessed with a large number of highly motivated, young people who, whilst developing their own athletic prowess, help out with coaching younger athletes.
They now want to develop them as coaches and leaders for their sake and that of the club and the local community.
George Docherty, the new NAAC Youth Development Manager, said: “We have a whole range of educational and developmental activities planned for them.
“We are grateful to the National Lottery for funding, which the club will be adding to in financial and support terms.”
