AN Ardrossan man who stole medicine and resisted arrest was jailed for seven months last week.
Antony McQueen, of the town’s Princes Street, stole a quantity of medication from Gallagher Pharmacy in Saltcoats on July 24.
McQueen also resisted, obstructed or hindered two police officers in execution of their duty, struggled violently and resisted arrest.
The 34-year-old pled guilty to two charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
His plea of not guilty to a third charge was accepted by the prosecutor.
McQueen was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison for the theft and 10 weeks in jail for resisting arrest.
