THE scarecrows have started to arrive in West Kilbride for this year’s festival and will all be here for Saturday with the parade leaving the station at 12.30pm.
The organisers hope lots of children will be making a scarecrow on a stick for the parade.
There will be sports events in the Glen as well as Tadpool for the younger kids.
West Sound stage for Some Wimmin Drummin, the Village Folk Band, ukulele group and anyone else who wants to show off their talent.
There is also a Hidden Object Competition and a Treasure Trail, Competition forms available from Wm Burtons Electricians, Main St, West Kilbride for £1 entry, this competition will run until 12 noon on Friday, August 10.
Winners will be announced at the afternoon tea, starting at 2pm in the Village Hall on Saturday August 11, Provost Clarkson will present the prizes.
Scarecrow booklets are on sale for £2 in shops.
