SALTCOATS BC was the venue for Dalry/Glengarnock’s latest Ayrshire Bowling Association’s league match.
An 80 to 73 shots victory kept the visitors in third place with one match to play. On Saturday July 21, the club was host to the A&A Trophy, sponsored by Audrey and Alan McInnes.
The match format was a round robin of triples which eventually led to a semi-final of Duncan Hutchison, Linda Glachan, and Sean Stirling who had a victory over Neil Glachan, Elaine Roddie and David Barclalay to go through to meet Jim Woodward, Ronnie Macdonald and William Kirkpatrick who had gone through at the expense of Jan Thornton, Anne Marie Finnigan and Margaret Campbell.
The final was a bit one sided with a 13 to 5 victory for Duncan, Linda and Sean.
On Sunday, July 22 the club’s Top Ten Team travelled to Glengarnock BC for the Garnock Valley Bowling Association Finals but lost out to a strong Ladeside of Kilbirnie team, with only Dalry’s singles player Sean Stirling winning.
