TWO boats had to be rescued in two days off the coast of North Ayrshire.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Ardrossan Coastguard were called out as part of a multi-agency rescue operations to Hunterston and West Kilbride.
The first was a broken down vessel which was towed in to the marina in Largs just after 7pm on Wednesday evening.
On Thursday of last week, the team were called out again to a boat aground near to West Kilbride.
Two lifeboats from Troon Lifeboat towed the stricken vessel into Ardrossan Marina where the Coastguard were waiting with an ambulance but the skipper did not require treatment.
