A KILWINNING actress is set to star in an acclaimed play at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Caroline Lewis, of Ayrshire’s Horsehead Theatre Company, will appear in Wired, the story of a young woman soldier’s journey through post-traumatic stress.
As well as the performances the Wired team are working with the army to deliver three post show discussions looking at various themes of the play including; The Power of Women, Mental Health in the Arts and Veterans Journeys.
And the production will be touring next year, visiting arts venues and Army barracks across the UK after a successful crowdfunding campaign.
Caroline had a huge success with her theatre adaptation of author Christopher Brookmyre’s A Tale Etched in Blood and Hard Black Pencil. Wired is told through the lives of three woman: the young soldier, her mother and an older soldier.
