KILWINNING’S fireworks will be back with two displays in the one night again this year.

The event will be held on Sunday, November 4 again in Kilwinning’s McGavin Park.

The first will be a short low noise display at 6pm, this has been introduced for young families and those who like to see fireworks but with less big bangs.

The big 18-minute fireworks display will kick off after 6.45pm – which organisers promise to be one of the best in North Ayrshire.

Cllr Donald Reid, chairman of Kilwinning Community Events, said: “The fireworks are always a busy night in Kilwinning and the fact we have two displays on the one night might make us even busier.

“Do follow the signs to the car parks and avoid entering residential streets as these will be covered by traffic management and regulations.

“We will have stewards on hand to help you find a parking space safely.

“We will be watching the weather carefully and this might effect aspects of the event so keep an eye on social media for updates.”

The fairground opens from 4.30pm and entertainment on stage from 5pm with local musical artists plus free balloon art and fire acts to keep you amused.

Organisers suggest arriving early as they expect there to be queues and busy roads.
