Bee sticks and other garden crafts were designed by children as part of a partnership between West Kilbride Primary School and the local Civic Society.
The P7 pupils helped paint the decorations at the new garden area next to the station, which they help volunteers to maintain every week.
Audrey Kolon, secretary at West Kilbride Civic Society, said: “We bought the boards and asked the children to paint something nice and bright. The kids had real fun painting them.
“We have an environmental group and the children come down on a Friday morning and help them and learn about plants.”
