BEITH Beer Fest 2018 was the busiest and biggest yet, with more than 1,400 people in attendance.

The day kicked off with “Fuzion” a local band formed at Beith Trust’s band Factory, setting the very high standard that carried on throughout the day.

Bands such as The Best Bad Influence, optimistic Pessimist, Shindig, Cherry Red 53, The Asuras, The Sound of Lies, Seaside Sons, The King Lot and The Three ‘N’ Eights all owned their slots on the stage.

As well as the main stage, the acoustic stage was just as lively, with acts performing throughout the day. Morgan Burns, Hollie Robinson, Morven & Gregor, Julie-Michelle, Stephen Hamilton, Iona Summer, Lisa Kowalski, Rachel and Robbie and Franklyn all gave fantastic performances.

The craft beers and ales proved a hit with over 3,280 pints poured and drank throughout the day. Alongside the beers and ales was Fizzbuz Valentine, the Prosecco van, selling Prosecco and gin.

It was a huge hit with both the men and women with over 60 bottles of gin drunk.

Three new food vendors joined the festival. Lutos Pizza, Plant Food and Angus Burgers were busy most of the day keeping the customers happy, with superb street food.

This year saw a massive amount of young local emerging talent that have been attending the Band Factory perform at Beithfest 2018.

Beith Trust’s Band Factory is currently bidding to bag a massive cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative.

This boost will help young local emerging talent form bands, understand the work behind the scenes and allow them to grow and develop themselves as successful musicians and perform at Beithfest 2019!

Beith Trust would like to thank all staff and volunteers who help make Beithfest happen. Also a big thank you to the number of individuals who attended and supported Beith Trust and Beithfest. They hope to see you all again next year.
