BEITH Bowling Club held their closing day on Saturday, September 29, with a good turnout.

The Pairs played 15 ends and the winners of the sweep were Derek Logue Jnr and John Pinkerton - it was good to see John back again.

President Warnock Longridge thanked everyone for the support, help and advice he has received over the season but looked forward to handing over to Derek Logue Snr.

Vice President Derek Logue Snr gave the vote of thanks to Kerr Bryson, match secretary, the ladies for selling the raffle and those who had donated.

He also thanked the ladies for the sandwiches and knick knacks, which went down well.

A free drink was given to all who attended, The annual presentation of prizes will be on a Saturday afternoon, date still to be confirmed. The Christmas dance is to be held on December 22.

The Ladies held their closing day on Wednesday, September 26. Afternoon tea and cakes was the order of the day with the Ladies relaxing and enjoying refreshments.

President Libby Calderwood hoped everyone would enjoy the break and come back refreshed for the next season.
