A SALTCOATS photographer is in the running to be named the Best Wedding Photographer at the 2018 Scottish Vows Awards.

Emma Sanderson was nominated by clients and is the only snapper from Ayrshire to be shortlisted for the prestigious award.

The ceremony will take place next month and Emma is full of praise for her clients.

She told the Herald: “When I present my photographs to the couple after the wedding it really is the best part, as you know you preserved their memories forever. Building a relationship with my clients is a priority. I want my clients to feel they can relax in front of the camera knowing I will make sure we get the beautiful story of their wedding as it unfolds.

“I couldn’t have got where I am without my amazing clients who have taken the time to vote for me. Knowing they think so much of me is wonderful.

“I also couldn’t have got this far without my mum Linda who has assisted me at every wedding since 2003 and is a wonderful help with my brides and the wedding party on the day of a wedding.

“Being nominated for the Vows is a dream come true and a wonderful end to a spectacular year of weddings. Being nominated for the Scottish wedding awards in February this year and then the vows in November, it couldn’t get any better.

“I am excited and looking forward to the award ceremony on 19 November. No matter the result I will party on and celebrate getting this far. It’s a massive achievement in itself. I’m a really lucky girl to have such wonderful clients.” Good luck, Emma from everyone at the Herald.
