PROMOTING Kilwinning have announced Autumn clean up dates as part of their Take Pride in Kilwinning campaign.
Organisers say there are two ways to participate in the Autumn clean up:
1. Decide which part of the town you want to improve and let Promoting Kilwinning know if you need litter pickers, gloves, or bin bags contact Promoting Kilwinning (07774234801)
2. Join one of Promoting Kilwinning’s organised events: On Saturday, October 27 you can join the 19th Ayrshire Scouts who will meet at Kilwinning library from 10am to noon.
On Sunday, October 28 you can join the volunteers of Scottish Wildlife Trust at the Garnock Floods area (near the Recycling Centre) from 10am to noon.
On Saturday, November 3 you can join the Kilwinning Boys Brigade and Girl Guides at the Bridgend River walkway from 10 am to noon. All Kilwinning schools take part so volunteer when your child’s school is having their clean up.
Many residents and businesses have already “adopted a spot” to keep litter free. Why not “adopt a spot”? Flytipping areas will be targeted throughout the week.
