TWO local politicians are holding an employment fayre this week in the Garnock Valley.

Patricia Gibson, MP for North Ayrshire and Arran and Cunninghame North MSP Kenneth Gibson, have organised the event, which will take place Beith Community Centre, from 9am to 12.30pm this Friday, October 26.

The event will bring local, Ayrshire and national employers looking to recruit, together with job seekers.

Over 50 national and local organisations have confirmed their participation and the Employment Fayre will provide an excellent opportunity for people of all ages to meet employers with vacancies, training and apprenticeships.

Mrs Gibson said: “This is a terrific opportunity both for employers, people looking for work and indeed, senior school pupils, college and university students keen to see what is out there.

“Dozens of businesses and organisations from different sectors, with vacancies to suit different ages, skill sets, interests and aspirations will participate and I am absolutely delighted so many employers have come on board to make this event happen.”

Mr Gibson added: “This is only the second time we have brought an Employment Fayre to Beith. I urge local people looking for a job, or a return to work, to come along.”
