A Kilwinning volunteer is launching his third Christmas appeal for children in hospital. Michael Kirkum is looking for donations of selection boxes, so he can gift them to kids in the children’s ward at Crosshouse. Any leftover boxes from the event will be donated to local children’s clubs and schools.
Michael said: “We’re doing the selection boxes again this year. “The first year we got 300, last year we got 800. “It seems to be growing so hopefully we can get that amount this time. “If anyone wants to donate selection boxes, just contact me and I’ll come and pick them up.
“The more we get,the more we can distribute.” Anyone wishing to donate selection boxes to this year’s charity appeal should contact Michael on 07849 015180. Boxes can also be handed in for the appeal at Billy’s Barbers in Irvine and Aldo’s Chip Shop in Kilwinning.
