A new garden area allowing members of the public to enjoy a range of sensory experiences has opened in Saltcoats.
The sensory garden at the Argyle Community Centre was created by local young people after months of planning by Saltcoats Community Council.
John MacDonald, treasurer at Saltcoats Community Council, said: “It’s a lovely place to sit in and it’s alive. We’ve created something that’s quite visible in making the place look nicer.
“It’s soft for children in case they fall. Young people who use the community centre have been going in it, some older people come. It’s for everybody to use.”
