Some weird goings on have been happening in the Barony St John recently.

We have had CCTV installed and, in the dead of the night, the monitor in the hall room shows some strange orbs flying around. Some of the orbs fly diagonally across the screen, some appear to come out of the walls and fire in different directions, one or two appear to emerge from the matted floor area, fly upwards and then shoot towards the near wall or camera.

Now, back in 2016 I had two mediums come into the centre to look at hiring a room for psychic readings and spiritualist classes. They came into the hall room and immediately said that the room was full of spirits. One of the mediums swore they could actually see some of the spirits and described a World War I uniform he was wearing.

Although, I couldn’t offer them a room at the time, the mediums assured me that the spirits were kind spirits and that they approved of the way we were using the hall building to help survivors of violence and vulnerable people.

Since then, virtually all of the survivors of violence who come into our premises have commented on how peaceful and comforting the room feels.

Fast forward to last year and I had another medium pop in to see if we had a room to hire. Luckily, it was just as we had renovated the small hall room and turned it into a Training /Meeting Room.

I explained to this medium, Anne Smith, that we planned to call the room the Phoenix Room because it had risen from the ashes of what it was like before (it had half the floor ripped up, half the ceiling down and most of the walls damaged and exposed).

Anne explained that she ran a group called The Phoenix Spiritualist Group. Coincidence or fate? Either way, Anne has been in our Centre, every Tuesday evening, ever since and she has always maintained that the hall room and the Training Room are both very active with spirits – something other visiting mediums have confirmed throughout the year.

So, have a look at the photo and see what you think.

My logical brain says it must be something else – insects? Nope, there are none. Dust rising from a heat source? Nope, there is no heat source on during the night and the “orbs” move and shoot off in different directions unlike floating dust particles. Car lights? Nope, you can see a car passing in the video and the light source doesn’t match up with what’s happening on the screen.

But what makes it even more spooky is that if you zoom into the heavy punchbags hanging in the background, they’re swaying!

Check out the video on our Facebook page - Barony St John Regeneration Project – and let me known what you think this is. The video has been viewed over 500 times and has sparked the interest of a Paranormal Investigation Team who want to conduct some experiments in our hall.

Spooky!

If you want to pop into the hall and get a feel for the place, there will be no better time than this Sunday (Remembrance Sunday) when we will be holding a Psychic & Holistic Fayre in the Barony St John.

The fayre is on from 10.30am to 5pm and we intend to have a minute’s silence at 11am to mark Remembrance Sunday. The admission is only £2 and includes a cup of tea with all proceeds going towards the Barony St John Regeneration Project and a donation to The Poppy Appeal.

There will be a crystal demonstration/talk by renowned spiritualist Joan Frew at 12 o’clock; an insight into Auras with John Seery at 1.30pm; a psychic medium demonstration from international medium George Whyilie at 3pm; plus a vast choice of tables offering Tarot / Angel / Buddha card readings, Crystal hand readings, Reflexology, Reiki, The Cove, The Wandering Star, American handbags and lots, lots more.

if you are interested in anything psychic, holistic or paranormal, come along on Sunday to our Psychic & Holistic Fayre – you won’t be disappointed.
