THE statue to celebrate Saltcoats footballing legend Bobby Lennox will be unveiled this Sunday afternoon.
After two years of hard work and fundraising, the finished article will be uncovered at its new home in Countess Street.
The town is expected to be extremely busy and road closures will be in place from 6am on Sunday morning in Countess Street, Vernon Street, Dockhead Street and Green Street.
Amongst guests will be Bobby's Lisbon Lion teammate and friend John Clark who will be unveiling the statue alongside Tony Savage, father of Corporal William Savage who was tragically killed in action in Afghanistan in 2013.
The statue will be unveiled at 12.15pm at the site across from Saltcoats Station and the ceremony will last around 15 minutes.
