Last week the 52nd Ayrshire and 1st Saltcoats Cubs had their winter award ceremony.
They have been working extremely hard with a grand total of 131 badges being issued. This event was very well attended with the cubs and their families singing Christmas songs, eating mince pies, drinking tea and coffee and taking part in a raffle.
Three of the cubs received their Chief Scout Silver Awards, Ross Milne, Harris Milne and Airren Taylor, this was a proud moment for the cubs, their parents and the leaders.
The group invested Christopher Reid into their pack last night, the previous week Kyle Mitchell, Rebecca Gilmour, Baxter Watterson, Lochlan Moore, Callan Tyler and Athan Roberts were also invested.
They are looking forward to earning more badges, having fun, making memories, and hearing what the young people’s ideas for the programme are for next year.
If your child is between the ages of 8-10 years old and lives in the Saltcoats area, why not go and join the adventure on Tuesday nights 7-8.30pm in St Mary’s church hall, Saltcoats.
