A MAN who injured a woman during an assault has dodged a jail term.

Joshua Robert Holland repeatedly struck the woman and seized her by the neck and body at an address in Ardrossan on October 16.

Holland, 35, also behaved in a threatening and abusive manner towards the same woman.

He repeatedly shouted and swore and demand money from her, uttered offensive comment and behaved aggressively.

Holland, of Ardrossan’s Bath Square, pled guilty to two charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.

He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work with supervision for 12 months as an alternative to custody.
